HUMAN ARCHITECTURE® / PARTNERSHIPS · HYROX, FITNESS & WELLBEING

Keep training at the centre. Give every guest a way to integrate it.

A four-week proposal for Makahiya Fitness: one shared orientation workshop and three weekly recovery-led sessions that help guests use Makahiya’s existing training environment with greater awareness. Coaching, progression and performance decisions remain with the Makahiya team.

THE STRATEGIC FIT

Not another training offer. The integration layer around the one Makahiya already owns.

Makahiya already brings together accommodation, daily classes, personal coaching, nutrition and recovery. The proposed Human Architecture layer gives guests a clear place to process that experience: notice what their body is communicating, identify one relevant focus and return to Makahiya’s coaching with better self-observation—not a competing plan.

Makahiya owns training. Its coaches retain full authority for assessment, technique, load, progression and any training adjustment. Human Architecture does not programme athletes, write corrective plans or pass private observations to the team. It creates the bridge between training exposure, recovery space and the guest’s own understanding.

Public-fit review updated 13 October 2026 using Makahiya’s official About, Classes, Packages and Recovery pages. The live timetable, guest turnover, current priorities and operational fit still require direct confirmation.

VALUE AT THREE LEVELS

More integration for the guest. More clarity for the team. No dilution of coaching.

01 / GUEST

Make training intelligible

Instead of receiving another programme, each guest learns to name one relevant observation and place it inside the training and recovery already available at Makahiya.

02 / COACH

Keep the coach in authority

A guest may bring one self-identified focus into coaching. The coach decides whether it matters, how to work with it and whether anything changes. No private data or parallel instruction is transferred.

03 / MAKAHIYA

Make the stay feel connected

Classes, coaching and recovery remain Makahiya’s offer. Human Architecture makes the relationship between them easier for guests to recognise and use.

The proposition: Makahiya does not need more training. It needs a precise integration layer for guests who want to understand how to use the training environment already around them.

THE GUEST JOURNEY

From training exposure to a usable, personal point of focus.

01 / ARRIVE

Enter Makahiya’s system

The guest chooses classes, coaching and recovery as Makahiya already delivers them. No separate assessment track is introduced.

02 / ORIENT

BODY LANGUAGE

One group workshop gives language for range, control, effort, breath and recovery—without prescribing what a guest or coach should do next.

03 / COUNTERBALANCE

Three weekly sessions

Each session offers a deliberately lower-load counterpoint to the forward, output-led pull that can dominate high-volume strength and HYROX training.

04 / INTEGRATE

Guest-led coaching link

If the guest wants to, they take one self-identified observation into Makahiya’s existing coaching. The coach remains the decision-maker.

The personal focus belongs to the guest.

Human Architecture does not issue athlete files, coach instructions or private reports. Any conversation with a coach is initiated by the guest, concise and agreed in advance.

THE WEEKLY INTEGRATION SYSTEM

Three sessions. Three distinct functions around the training Makahiya already delivers.

This is not a second fitness programme. The weekly rhythm creates protected space for movement quality, back-body organisation and down-regulation—so the guest can meet Makahiya’s high-output training with more awareness and capacity. Exact content and placement are confirmed with the coaching team.

01 / DECOMPRESS

Hips, Ankles & Posterior Space

45–60 minutes of active hip rotation, extension, ankle options and controlled pelvic movement. The purpose is not to exhaust the lower body again, but to explore range and control around the running, lunge, squat and sled patterns already present in the week.

Function in the system: create a lower-load counterpoint to repeated forward drive and knee-dominant output.

02 / REORGANISE

Spine, Scapulae & Shoulder Control

45–60 minutes of thoracic rotation, scapular movement, controlled overhead range and supported shoulder loading. It creates room around the chest, upper back and shoulders without competing with Makahiya’s rowing, SkiErg, carries, wall balls or strength work.

Function in the system: bring attention back to organisation and control after repeated gripping, carrying and forward-facing work.

03 / DOWNREGULATE

Breath, Floor Work & Deep Rest

45–60 minutes of comfortable breath awareness, floor-based settling and guided Yoga Nidra. This is a quiet recovery space—no maximal holds, hyperventilation, performance target or pressure to participate at a fixed intensity.

Function in the system: give the guest a deliberate transition from output into recovery before the next training exposure.

The sessions respond to common demands within a strength and HYROX environment; they do not assume that every guest has the same pattern, limitation or need. Makahiya’s coaches retain responsibility for training plans, technique and progression. New pain, injury or medical concerns require appropriate clinical advice.

PLACEMENT, NOT A FIXED TIMETABLE

A weekly rhythm that protects the training programme.

Suggested slotIntegration sessionRole beside Makahiya’s programme
Early week · after the first high-output blockDecompress: Hips, Ankles & Posterior SpaceCreates space to step out of repeated drive and explore control without adding another lower-body conditioning session.
Midweek · not before a heavy upper-body or HYROX sessionReorganise: Spine, Scapulae & Shoulder ControlOffers quieter upper-body organisation without pre-fatiguing the same muscles or competing with coach-led strength work.
Late week · evening or recovery windowDownregulate: Breath, Floor Work & Deep RestCreates a clear recovery threshold between effort and the next exposure, without changing the training plan.

Three sessions means three total invitations each week, not three additional training days. Timing, intensity, group size and guest eligibility are agreed against Makahiya’s live timetable, heat, turnover and coach priorities.

Mel Mihira, facilitator and Founder of Human Architecture
Mel Mihira · Facilitation

FACILITATION · MEL MIHIRA

A defined complementary role inside the team’s existing work.

Mel facilitates the integration space: she holds the three sessions, gives guests language for what they notice and maintains a clear boundary between awareness, recovery and Makahiya’s performance coaching.

Her approach draws on a physiotherapy-informed foundation, functional anatomy, structural bodywork, yoga and breath-led practice. It does not diagnose, prescribe medical treatment, programme training or replace Makahiya’s coaches. Training decisions, technique and progression stay with Makahiya’s team.

THE ORIENTATION POINT

BODY LANGUAGE gives the system a shared starting language.

One 90–120 minute workshop in the first four weeks lets participants explore mobility, stability, strength, movement patterns, breath and recovery—then identify three personal areas to observe.

It does not generate a parallel training prescription. It gives a guest enough language to participate more consciously in Makahiya’s existing environment and, if useful, to ask their coach a better question.

THE INSTALLATION PERIOD

Four weeks to establish the rhythm—and decide whether it belongs.

  1. Align: confirm live timetable, guest turnover, spaces, group size and the named Makahiya coach who owns the operational interface.
  2. Install: run the BODY LANGUAGE workshop and the three defined weekly integration sessions around—not inside—the performance schedule.
  3. Coordinate: hold one short weekly operational check between Mel and the named team contact: attendance, scheduling friction and what needs refinement. No guest health or private details are discussed.
  4. Review: use attendance, voluntary guest feedback, coach perspective and operational practicality to decide whether to continue, adjust or stop.

January–March 2027 remains an exploratory window—not a booked residency. The first four weeks establish whether this operating rhythm adds enough guest value while remaining clean for the team to run.

No health outcome, injury prevention, race-time improvement, attendance level or commercial return is guaranteed. A longer-term collaboration would require a separate written scope, internal owner and delivery plan.

COMMERCIAL ROUTES

Choose the model that protects the guest experience.

01 / INCLUDED

Host-funded

Makahiya books the installation period and includes selected sessions inside an agreed stay package or guest experience.

02 / OPTIONAL

Guest-paid add-on

Guests book selected sessions separately. Makahiya and Human Architecture agree pricing, capacity, booking ownership and settlement before promotion.

03 / SHARED

Base + tickets

A guaranteed delivery base is combined with guest ticket income. The commercial split and minimum threshold are explicit before anything is announced.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clear before anything is announced.

Makahiya provides: timetable input, suitable space, guest registration and communication, agreed equipment, on-site coordination and one named coaching interface.

Human Architecture provides: agreed session design, preparation, facilitation, accessible variations, guest-facing integration materials and a concise operational review. It does not assume responsibility for athlete programming, coaching decisions or clinical care.

Programme

Confirm duration, exact slots, group size, audience, language, space, equipment and the weekly team check-in.

Commercial

Agree fee, currency, guest price if any, package inclusion, travel/accommodation, cancellations and payment schedule.

Delivery

Confirm insurance, destination-specific work feasibility, consent, safeguarding and medical escalation. Shared promotion and brand use require approval.

OPTIONAL DEPTH · ONLY WHEN IT FITS

Individual recovery and private work can sit beside the system—never inside the coaching chain.

After the core rhythm is established, Makahiya and an individual guest may choose to scope a separate recovery-oriented or private Human Architecture session with Mel. This is not assumed within the collaboration, does not replace the team’s coaching or care pathway, and is arranged only with clear consent, availability and a separate scope.

Private work remains private. It is not reported back to Makahiya unless the guest chooses to raise their own observation with a coach.

THE NEXT CONVERSATION

Could this earn a place in the Makahiya experience?

This is a tailored discussion concept—not an announcement of partnership. A focused 30-minute conversation with the person responsible for programming or guest experience is enough to decide whether a pilot is worth scoping.

We would clarify only three things: the guest profile and turnover, the real timetable and suitable slots, and the single person who owns the coach handoff. If those conditions are not present, we do not force the format.

For Makahiya’s team: reply to the introduction or suggest the right person and a suitable time. We will come prepared with a concise pilot scope—not a generic pitch.
